About The Horsham Men in Sheds
What the Shed is About
The Shed provides a way for men to pursue their interests, develop new ones, belong to a unique group, feel useful, fulfilled and have a sense of belonging.
A Shed’s activities usually involve making or mending in wood (e.g. carpentry, joinery, turning, carving, whittling, marquetry, furniture renovation) but may include metalworking (milling, sheet metal, welding, etc.) bike repair, gardening, electronics, tool renovation, boat renovation, model engineering (model railways, planes) and even building a car!
Please do get in touch to discuss your needs and interests and to arrange a visit. Unfortunately our building (due to its age) is not wheelchair accessible.
More information about the Men’s Shed movement can be found on the
UK Men’s Shed Association website.
Men’s Shed Horsham (MSH) was established in 2016 to promote social inclusion amongst men in the Horsham area. Its main aims are to help combat loneliness and social isolation and to promote physical and mental wellbeing, through the provision of a workshop environment. Here members can share and learn new skills, working on personal and Shed projects in a supportive, friendly environment, regardless of their skill level or previous experience.
We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation and we are registered with the Charity Commission. Our Registered Charity number is: 1173345
Our membership is only open to men over the age of 18
A founder member of Mens Shed, Ben Pickstock says:
” Whatever activities are pursued, the shed will be more than a building – it will become a fellowship of men sharing and supporting each other. “
